Children Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery

Children Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery

  • Ahmed Nassar

Pediatric orthopedic surgery Orthopedic problems in children are different from those in adults, because children are still growing and the body’s response to injuries, fractures and deformities is very different from what might be expected in an adult even for the same problem.

Moreover, there are some problems that are limited to children as they result from certain abnormalities in their bones and joints, so the assessment and treatment of a child is completely different from that of an adult.

Those with complex pediatric problems are best managed through the Dr. Center’s medical-surgical team approach. Khaled Batterjee, the center’s pediatric orthopedic surgeons diagnose, treat and manage children’s musculoskeletal problems such as fractures of all bones, pediatric orthopedic surgery including repair of bow legs in children and repair of congenital foot defects.

Children are not like adults and cannot always say what is bothering them, answer medical questions or cooperate during a medical exam, but our pediatric orthopedic team knows how to examine and treat children in a way that helps them relax and cooperate without fear or anxiety.

They also appreciate the anxiety that accompanies parents and have good experience communicating with anxious family members.
